Design Inspiration: Secret Gardens

In honor of Spring’s arrival, we’re giving you a revealing peek into some of our favorite garden spaces from past projects.

CITY RESPITE

Hidden away behind a strategically placed row of arborvitae, the generous side yard of our Lincoln Park Mediterranean Home provides a welcomed respite from city life. Without leaving home, the family can enjoy quiet moments in the structured garden, active play in the open yard, as well as herbs and vegetables picked fresh from the chef’s garden off the dining patio.

ITALIAN GRANDEUR

Struck by the beauty of the Palazzos on the Grand Canal in Venice, the clients of our Lincoln Park Venetian Home requested BGD&C Custom Homes to design and build a true Italian villa. Inside the gardens, the hardscape, outdoor fireplace, and pergola work together to create a series of romantic outdoor rooms perfect for intimate gatherings and casual al fresco dining.

(SOCIAL) BUTTERFLY GARDENS

With a vision of old Italy, the clients of our Lincoln Park Tuscan Home desired an inviting home in which to relax and entertain.

From intimate gathering spots to a large roof deck fit for hosting summer parties, there is an outdoor space for every occasion. The roof deck features a pool, built-in barbecue, fireplace, container gardens, and space for both causal lounging and al fresco dining. The home’s elevator opens directly to the roof deck for ultimate convenience.
